Group Flight by ~Dave-the-Liker. Realistic lighting combined with beautiful procedural texturing of the landscape environment. Motion blur used so well on the planes, it almost makes the observer feel that they about to pass over. ( Featured by `KeremGo )

I have absolutely no idea... it must be the face of Jabba the Hutt you can see in the rocks on the left-hand side... :)
For me... this work was the start for my world-machine love :)
Just Erosion? I've been studying erosion for a year now... and I still keep learning... have a look at this if you want... the terrain is so much more complex: [link]

Yep, you build nice canyons. I'm working on large terrain area of something like Arches National Park. But vertical shapes are problematic. Either they slide down too much with Geological time enable, or too static with it disabled and lack detail. Argh.

Vertical shapes always are... tell me about it...
When I create terrains, 1 terrain is usually one small feature, this way you can get more detail out of it... This scene counts about 6 4k terrains. And really small strata help :)

That's a good idea, yes! As the story goes, thank you a lot, your pictures inspired me a great deal. I mean, you take Battlefiled 3 - and we have just a no-brainer Classic WM+Power erosion here. That's bullshit. ) But your works got me thinking that almost everything I can find in Google Earth, I can do in World Machine, and I already made a good progress.
Keep up your awesome work. )

Well, I processed several pieces separately, as you advised. Some nice increase of quality. Goes like this at the moment:

:D Glad you like it... It looks good!
Try to work with several materials and use the distribution maps (from the erosion node)to separate them-> e.g.sand for the deposit/flow, rock for the rest
Other things you could do... Add a second erosion node a e.g. the bottom of the cliffs (select bij height), going for strong full erosion
